NEWSTART

God has provided everything we need in nature to live healthy lives. The trouble is most times we undermine the simplicity of the things of nature and their power to heal complicated diseases such as AIDS, cancer and now COVID-19. But it's true. Wrapped up in eight scientifically proven principles called NEWSTART, nature and godly principles hold the key to holistic health and wellness.

NEWSTART is an acronym which stands for Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunshine, Temperance, Air, Rest and Trust in God. Successfully implemented, this lifestyle program cures diabetes, heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure, lowers cholesterol, helps you lose weight and improves overall quality of life. It was this program that reversed my high blood pressure and cured my anxiety and insomnia. My doctor told me once I develop high blood pressure I would always have it and be dependent on drugs to regularize it. I remember leaving his office, standing outside in the car park and rebuking his gloomy prognosis. I never believed him even during the time when I was dependent on drugs. I grew up hearing about NEWSTART but never implemented it until I was fed up taking drugs. And guess what.. it worked. After a few short months of consistent implementation of NEWSTART I gave up my pills for good. It can work for you too.


Nutrition



Proper nutrition is the foundation of good health and recovery from illness. This program is based on a plant-based diet and healthful whole foods as opposed to processed foods. Eat well balanced and nutritious plant-based meals daily.

Exercise



Physical activity tones and strengthens your body. It also reduces the risk of developing lifestyle diseases. Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day, at least three times a week.

Water



According to Harvard Health, water flushes bacteria and other toxins from the body. It aids digestion, prevents constipation, cushions the joints and many other amazing benefits. Drink 6- 8 glasses of pure water daily.

Sunshine



Regular exposure to the sun is the most natural way to get your Vitamin D which helps to regulate calcium and phosphate. These nutrients are needed to keep bones, teeth and muscles healthy. Sunshine also improves your sleep, reduces stress, fights depression. Ensure your body gets an adequate amount of sunshine. At least 15mins per day.

Temperance



Abstaining from what is bad and moderate use of what is good. It helps us achieve discipline and balance in all areas of our lives so that everything works in harmony.

Air



Have you ever deeply inhaled fresh air while taking a walk in the countryside? Or how about early in the morning right in your own neighbourhood in the city? What a wonderful feeling! Nothing like fresh air to boost your mood and pick up your energy. Fresh air cleans your lungs, strengthens your immune system, improves blood pressure and heart rate, sharpens your mind and makes you feel happier. Get an abundant supply of fresh air daily.

Rest



The body rejuvenates itself while we sleep. Healing and growth takes place while resting. Rest strengthens the immune system and improves your mental health. The body needs approximately eight hours of quality sleep everyday. Rest also includes resting from secular work at least one day a week, preferably on Saturday which is the Sabbath of the Lord.

Trust in God



Faith is the key which unlocks all God's promises. So, develop and maintain a personal relationship with God and trusting in His power to intervene and help with ALL of life's challenges.
